2270 Long term renting in Lombardy

We are considering long term renting in the Lake Como region. How easy is it to obtain reliable information?:)

Hey,

I am also looking to rent in Lombardy. Have only just got underway in the search - I have not yet found too much information but this is definitely the place to start. I am going to be working in Milan starting late Jan, am keen on commuting from about an hour outside and ofcourse the como region really appeals...but theres still research to be done.
Specifically, I am looking for a homestay style situation so this makes it even more hard. Are you looking for a house or apartment or something else?

We own an apartment in Menaggio on Lake Como just one bed but with Lake views and very nicely presented, we let it out as a holiday let for short or long periods.
Immobiliare Menaggio are very good for buying or renting they have a website and the girl there (her name escapes me but I think it begins with L!) is very helpful and speaks good English.Also Acca studio in Menaggio.
For other towns, a good place to start is the tourist information office.They will most certainly have a list of local lettings and again most os these offices will have an English speaking representative.The Lake Como area is fabulous and I am sure you will both enjoy your stay there.
