2345 travel to chamonix from italy

hi
I live in pesaro in marche and am going skiing to chamonix. does anyone know how to get there? My research on the internet suggests getting a train to milan or turin, getting a bus to the airport and then a transfer to chamonix. Surely there is an easier way!!! ( I know - go skiing in Italy, haha!!)

You can get to Aosta by train - change at Chivasso on the Milano-Torino line. From there there is thrice daily bus service to Chamonix.

Probably lots of ways to skin this particular cat!

Chamonix (F) and Courmayeur (I) are connected by cable cars but I don't suppose you want to take your luggage up to aguile du midi and down the other side: [url]http://www.mont-blanc.org.uk/134/[/url]

By car it is just the other side of Mont Blanc/Monte Bianco tunnel.
