2265 Lazio v Ascoli

Hi folks

This Sunday I will be In rome to watch Lazio - my first Italian match. I am particularly interested in experiencing the full flags and flares experience that occurs behind the goals on the Curva Nord.

Does anyone know the best and safest way to get tickets/entry to the ground?

Prompt replies appreciated, flying out, as I will be, friday.

I had noticed that www.TicketOne.it had some tickets available for a number of matches............ maybe you're after tickets to buy when you're out there though?

............but having had a quick surf, all they have is a ticket, hotel etc deal

...is a wonderful thing. I think I will wait to get tickets when I am out there. I am staying with some friends when I am out there - the trouble is, they don't 'get' football. Some people are just too academic! I'm sure they will know someone who knows someone... etc.

Thank you for helping.

Ciao

YOU CAN BUY ONLINE HERE

15 EUROS but I don't know which section. There are less places where you can buy tickets this season and you can no longer get them at the stadium on your way in due to new regulations and you will need ID to buy them.

Great link. I do not see my preferred stand listed, after clicking through - I will try the Lazio shop in Rome on Saturday. Thank you to all.

Ciao

Did you enjoy the game? Been to the Olympic a few times. Not so great for Lazio games this year with only about 30,000 fans in that huge ground. Usually better for Roma games. Went in September for Roma v Udinese. The flares and fireworks have gone this year after what happened last season at Inter v Milan but the flags are still around.I'm a Pompey fan (live in Calabria) and personally think Serie A grounds are not the best apart from San Siro. They need updating badly and the attendances are pretty terrible at a lot of Serie A matches. As low as 5000 on Sunday at Chievo! If you pick a big game they are great. Too far from the pitch is my major problem with the stadiums here I'm afraid.

You haven't been to Fratton Park recently, I take it?:D

I had a fantastic weekend in Rome - culminating in a great after noon taking in the football. I stayed with a good friend who was a terrific host. He picked me up at the airport, drove me everywhere I wanted to go, showed me his Rome, he drove me to the match and came back to collect me... it was truly wonderful to see Rome with a Roman.

The game was very enjoyable and the fact that the stadium was only partially filled did not matter - the Curva Nord was packed. There was a momentary lapse in fervour when Ascoli scored the opening goal. Di Canio equalised - you can imagine the reaction on the Curva. Lazio won 4 - 1. A magnificent overhead kick close to the end of the match is an enduring mental image. I had made my way to the back of the stand, about to leave (to allow Eugenio to pick me up a few minutes early to avoid the traffic), trying to tear myself away, when the fourth goal went in. A great end to the afternoon.

I don't think I'll have many weekends as memorable as that one - since I travelled alone, leaving wife and daughter at home. My anatomy is under threat if I go to Rome again without them.

Forza Lazio!!!!

Where did you get the tickets in the end?

From Lazio Point shop near Termini. The only place I could get tickets for CURVA NORD. Had to pay for it and then return to collect it 40 minutes later. I.D. had to be produced when I paid for it, luckily I had my passport.
