Sexual harrassment?
I wouldn't complain too much.. relax.. get some experience first hand and then let us know if it's really harrassment or a simple flirtation.. you never know.. you may come to think of it as an art form! ;)
:) :)
Of course it's an art form,it even used to happen in england in the old days before "Tony" when it didn't constitute harrassment or discrimination etc etc,i was in fact wondering when sex would rear it's head in the forum i'd say it was long overdue...
last month in thebar the dottoressa from the ASL came in ,my 75 yr old neighbour immediately accosted her/touched her saying to her that she was bella and that he liked women......( it was fantastic)
Did you know ...?

Having listened to these tales of sexual harrassment by Italian males I've got a bit of a complex as I've never experienced any of this behaviour.Although when I'm next on the beach in Pescara I will be looking out for anyone carrying half a cucumber around with him!

Did you know that cucumber is very good for the skin? Perhaps this old man just wanted to protect the tender skins of beach girls. Just a thought.:D

I have always been impressed at how Italian women are not offended and "seemingly" enjoy flattery and flirtation but also they seem to know absolutely where the boundary is and know how to stop unwanted or persistent attention seekers dead in their tracks. This must be a skill learnt at Mom's apron strings or Dad's knee and evidently lacking in anglosaxon culture - perhaps you could start a thread Aliena to instruct the influx of English roses on how not to appear rude when reacting to a pat on the bottom.
As I have already said.. perhaps it's how you deal with it that is important..
Sometimes a pat on the bottom deserves nothing less than a good hard smack in the face!!
:) :)
I remember when I was young and blonde everyone used to pinch my cheek - quite painful it could be too, especially from the Mamas who didn't know their own strength. What you forgot Aliena, was to say as you give them the almighty slap was what I used to get: 'Come sei carino[a]' .

pinching cheeks was not nor still is an abusive practice.... its to check your parents wealth...traditionally depending on how much of your cheek they could fit in between the offending pinching digits gave a good idea of how much you were fed...ie fat equalled wealth

Oh John, hate to say it doesn't work. By rights a pinch of my gorgeous hubby's cheeks would make him a millionaire, sadly not :(
However, harrassment obviously does exist even in Italia.. while travelling by tram in Napoli one time, which are always extremely crowded with people forced to stand very close to each other.. closer than sardines in a tin on this particular occasion.. One man used the jolting movements of the tram as an almost plausable excuse to press himself against Aliena..
I used the same excuse.. and the next jolt.. to grind my stiletto heel forcefully into his foot.. he got the message.. loud and painfully clear! ;)
Perhaps it's how you deal with it that is important.

so thats it, you're a transvestite or transexual then? ;)
It all sounds a little unhygenic to me..does he refresh his cucumber after each visit? ..perhaps he takes a slice off each time?
