2280 help for wedding organisation in Italia

Hi, I am new to this forum having just found it on the web site. having never used a forum site before i hope to have a pleasurable experience. There is of course an alteria motive as I am due to be married in 2006 and hope very much that it can be in lake como. I am hoping that you may be able to offer advice on how I might be able to find an english speaking priest that would be able to marry me and my partner in the lakes. I am going to bellagio later in the month to do a recky and so any advice ahead of my going would be appreciated,

I got married in Venice which was very easy - we did everything by post/email in advance. Booked it through the commune for the registry office on the Grand Canal, had the bans read in the Uk - posted the certificate to the British Consul who for a small fee of issued a certificate of nul impedimenti which they forward to the communel. We had to pay for a translator at the ceremony. I would imagine if you want a church its much more difficult .
I would start by emailing the commune nearest to where you want to marry. Italy definately has a reciprocal arrangement with the uk re weddings - I believe its much cheaper for Brits to get married there than Americans for example - our service in a fantastic pallazzo on a Friday lunchtime was 300 euros plus about 50 for the translator..
