Can anyone recommend any nice, cheap and cheerful Apartments or bed & breakfast's in Palermo during April?

Not sure if you need to actually stop in Palermo, but we have some lovely properties in Taormina and the Eastern side of Sicily. Hope this helps! Enjoy your trip.

In Palermo you would able to find many nice places to stay, but I suggest you to consider to take a visit to Isola delle Femmine: it is a very small village just some kms from Palermo where the famous baseball player Joe Di Maggio was born. Now is a typical fishermen small town. Enjoy beautiful Sicily!

Cheap flats in palermo are like hens' teeth.
You can try mwww.siciliacase.com which have a few. Otherwise you might be better off trying a hotel. I can recommend the Hotel Cortese, [url]www.hotelcortese.com[/url], which is cheap and well placed.
Palermo will be full at Easter, so book as early as you can.
