2552 Thanks for all the advice to date

Hello, we are three people intending to visit vis Bari in March. We intend to look at property at lower end of the price range in Puglia (hello posse.)

Others have given us the following advice.

-Try and make friends with someone local who speaks both English and Italian and who can show you around or act as a go-between

-Don't buy anything which needs a lot of work as the Italian conservation laws are incrediably strict - they even control internal alterations

-Italians don't always use estate agents and instead will put a board outside the house.

Other suggestions/advice from those of you living there would be much appreciated, we will be visiting Trani/Ostuni areas.

Welcome to the forum gjam, :)

Looking forward to hearing about your adventures.

Have a wonderful trip!

I'd would say:
- don't rush
- try different areas to see which you *really* like
- talk to the local inhabitants

.......then wait, as whilst many people, who know people, it's not a simple process & requires trust before anything happens....
