It is not a real tax, but a sort of insurance for domestic accidents that might hit people who do not work out of home: male or femele is the same.

[QUOTE=pamela catalano]Ok Ok, But what is it for ? Is there also a house husband tax?
Do they tax you for staying at home ? What next ?
They must sit up all night thinking up new taxes. All these holidays which Tony Blair takes in Italy I can see the UK getting this tax . Can you just imagine ????

Yes, it is obligatory and payable by all unemployed housewives or "housemen" from the age between 16 and 65 years it's a very small tax as has been said about Euro 13,00 per annum payable by 31/01 of every year, as has been said it's effectively insurance against serious domestic incidents which are in fact the most common accidents..i'm sure Tone will want it too...except it could upset minority ethnic groups who'd be forced to declare exactly how many wives they've got..so it may not pass...

So does this mean that my husband has to pay for all his six wives ?????
Only joking he is driven mad by me cannot see him taking on another wife.
Thanks for your answer, leaving for England early tomorrow so this will have to wait, probably another violation for late payment.

[QUOTE=Aliena]It's deadly serious.. hung drawn and quartered in the Piazza if you don't pay it on time!
Cost is 12.50 euros per annum.. or pay the fine if caught.. which includes the payment of the tax.. the fine is 13 euros! Honestly!!
I'm rushing to the post office right now.. but then again.. maybe not.. I like living dangerously! ;)
