2590 The white roads

My husband Paul absolutley loves driving, and the white road network in Le Marche is pure heaven for him, they provide us with amazing shortcuts, fantastic views, and you see so much of this beautiful country, also you see the lovely traditional farmhouses which you cant always see from the main roads, wild life such as deer, and birds ,im sure we have seen hawks, and last trip im sure i spotted an eagle, but dont quote me on that; we really enjoy using them, i guess when you live in london and close to the M25 you appreciate how lovely and a peaceful way of getting around, I wondered if there were anymore of you guys that enjoy using these roads

Thanks, Frantiana, it's funny how little things like this make you really remember what it's all about!

I read in this weekend's Sunday Times a quote from Alan Titchmarsh (sorry!) that sums it up for me:

There's a moment I love that always comes on an Italian holiday. You've landed in the afternoon, got to your hotel, then you go for your first meal.....You sit down, a plate of pasta arrives, and a bottle of Soave, and suddenly you relax, and a sigh comes deep from inside - "Aaaaaaaaah". The meal's usually delicious but there's nothing as delicious as that moment"

I have (many) differences withi Alan Tit, but at least we agree on this....keep those wonderful memories coming!

...............it's easy to get too wrapped up on stuff & forget about what's important!

:D

Yep, know that moment. Even when we went over to complete and everything was still all a little worrying, first step onto Italian soil and felt a calmness come over me! Just great!

White Roads, LOL, use them every day, more interesting after heavy rain though...

Lots of sliding George do you ues a bike or car? regards Francesca
