2606 Moving to Le Marche

We finally arrive at Monte Vidon Corrado on the 17th of February !!!!! and would much appreciate any info on the following. our house is totally empty so we can start with where can we obtain:
the kitchen sink, a gas cooker,beds,plus a plumber and a gas fitter!
Would also welcome any other contacts which might be helpful, like doctors, dentists, vets in the area.Thanks

Another thought I just had is that you are only 30 miles from Ascoli, don't know if anyone on the board has local info.

Also whilst driving up and down the coast road from Civitanova to Porto d'Ascoli there seem to be plenty of choice of DIY/Bathroom/Furniture places, although we never did find Castorama, saw the brazier ladies tho. :D

ynot... the castorama i think you are referring to is just over the border in the province of teramo... go down to porta ascoli... and either pop onto the a14 heading south for a few minutes and come off at val vibrata... or take the coastal main road and its about ten minutes towards again heading south.... its all signposted once you arrive... theres another iper supermarket there as well...i know theres a good one at porta ascoli .... and a media world...for all the high tech sort of stuff...

sorrythe reply has not got a lot to do with plumbers and things... but guess they do sell beds and such

Hi guys,
A good plumber in the area is Walter (pronounced valter in italian) probably best if you email me privately for his mobile or we'll never be able to get him back to finish our bathroom! It does take some time for these tradespeople to turn up..... There is a lady vet in Sarnano who speaks English I believe, and also Angelita Serri at Passo San Ginesio not too far from you. (The crossroads where the traffic lights areon the ss78) Large furniture and kitchen suppliers along the coast - head towards Civitanova.
I guess you are here in Italy now.....
