2698 general advice

looks like ive finally sorted my job out and will be relocating in the next couple of weeks.

however im now confused with all this banking stuff. Do I need to get an italian bank for my wages to be paid into? I wont have any bills bar my rent. hopefully! My contract is for a year.

Im a little worried as I dont speak any italian yet I will be taking lots of lessons over the next couple of weeks bu I know it wont be enough if I walk into a bank and get stuck.

Is there anything else I need to consider? Whats this Code Fiscale?

Have a look at the public area of [url]www.informer.it[/url] - which allows access through drop down menus to essential information. The rest you have to subscribe for. Welcome to the forum. Where are you going to be based in Italy? Banking surely will depend on how your contract is agreed, maybe it is to be paid to your English bank account? You say you are only here for a year, but if you do want to open an Italian bank account you will need a Codice Fiscale. Most of your questions will probably have been covered on the forum before, so it is always worth doing a search. Good Luck with everything.
