2745 Hello

Hello everyone
Very interesting and informative Forum.We are 6 months since buying in Tuscany (a holiday home in Sommocolonia,)making very slow progress with Italian here in Glasgow,but utterly enchanted with the house, thevillage the area ,the country .So pleased with ourselves in general !

Will be visiting the site regularly

No shortage of Scots round that area, particularly in and around Barga, as you probably already know. I'm buying further up the valley in Lunigiana and I'm from the 'posh' side of Scotland, near Edinburgh. ;)

We know Jan and Dave from Sommocolonia very well.Not only is it beautiful but it is tiny as well! About 40-50-houses all told .Close knit community,but extremely friendly.We have been made very welcome.

Ha! Call 40 - 50 houses tiny? Our area has only 14! (Interborgo rivalry already started :D ) Nevertheless, welcome to the forum. BTW you should feel proud of yourselves. You've made a great choice.
