Yep, it's there every year & tends to be the last 2 weeks of August.

I'd suggest that a number of the items are 'premium priced' so you might want to start looking at other places first:

[*]Mercatino della nonna towards Villafranca.... but will need to think a bit more on that one!

These are good places to start.... if you want to end up in Sarzana, feel free ;)

I also found this link that gives a number of markets (antiques to flea markets) across Italy

You may find out by sending an E - mail to:
info.@comune.sarzana.sp.it

In 2005 la mostra dell'Antiquariato a Sarzana was held between 6 -28 August.

In any case it is on the main road on the left hand side as you drive from Villafranca to Pontremoli. The chap who owns it speaks english perfectly - well with a London accent, depends on whether you count that as perfect or not :D. And the small shop in Rometta is called

Via Statale Cerreto

The other place in the area we've bought from is on Via Nazionale just on the corner (on your left hand) as you turn right. The owner is Mr. Piccioni but I can't remember if the place has a name or not.

i like the link on the markets, thank you
