2835 Native Italians in Suffolk ?

We are doing a house-exchange with another family in SICILY for 8 months from August and are trying to improve our Italian. Does anyone know of someone who would be interested in coming to our house, to interact with and speak Italian to, our 3 kids - aged 10, 7 and 2 ?

What a fantastic opportunity for your kids to learn the language, 8 months in Sicilia! I really wish that secondary schools here (we're in Dorset) would offer Italian as a GCSE option instead of just the usual French and German. I know some schools around here do Spanish but it's all down to demand, so they tell me. My daughter is just coming up to 13 and choosing her "options". She's keen to do a language which I'm really pleased about, a lot of her friends aren't going to bother at all. How I wish it could be Italian but she will have to plump for French. C"est la vie.:(
