Hi Gardener, pleased to hear you have nearly finished your project. Agree with all George's comments. Certainly plenty of potting compost available and we always buy some for mixing with our own soil if we are planting up pots but then we are Brits!

My next question is that is weed killer a better product to sell in Italy than potting soil? In other word, if I can only choose one product to market in Italy, which is more frequently purchased? Weed killer or potting soil? I would appreciate any help. Thank you

try this - its in Italian - so if you can speak Italian then no probs, otherwise come back or use a dictionary or www.freetranslation.com but be prepared any online translator often gets things wildly wrong!!!

Are you familiar with Roundup, which works quite well to kill anything not desired in the garden. It can be purchased in many agricoli in concentrated form. It will not kill the soil but will kill any plant when sprayed, so use with care.
I suspect that a lot would depend on where they live, in the country, most people would probably mix their own, in fact probably just plant up in whatever soil they already have, however, there are several different types of potting mix's available here, both in the supermarkets, and in the local agricultural suppliers. There are also, several different types of fertiliser available, again in smallish quantities in supermarkets, and in big bags in agricoli. Hope this helps a bit.
