Yep, good one! I'll try to pay attention this time and Dave will have to sit on the naughty chair if he cheats again! :D
Yes, but how does it all work?
Aliena asks the questions, everyone else types like mad to be the first to reply. Notaio keeps score and rules over disputes. If you don't know how to use chat room come in when one of us is in there and we will guide you through. :D
How it works

Hi Bud
Here is the link to the chat room. Try to familiarise yourself with it a bit beforehand if you have never visited before. If you need a helping hand.. shout out!
Does anyone fancy another quiz?
After the fun of the general knowledge quiz a few weeks ago.. we could have another quiz on Sunday evening 26th of March at 7.30pm GMT in the chat room - easy Italian language questions this time.. with simple answers - nothing advanced - for about half an hour or so.. anyone interested?
Need a helper.. perhaps someone who speaks Italian please.. to keep track of the scores.. or even ask the questions.. anyone willing to help?
Notaio? :D :D
:) :)
its all advanced stuff....to me....

I'm up for it. Will concentrate on getting the typing speed up to scratch. One hundred lines a night, "I must try to stay sober this time", that should help ; )

i will try to be here tomorrow night, have a funny feeling i will be 3 parts
drunk, [don't ask] so who knows if i keep to the same answer, maybe a
question will come up that matches it........:)
In reply to A newbie all over again! by Annec
I'll give it ago . But i'm not very good with Italian Language . I'll get used to the Chat Room .

We will have just arrived in Italia next Sunday so most likely won't be able to get to the quiz..........
We have got a phone line there (as long as we haven't been cut off for not paying a bill we didn't know we have had) and could maybe look in on dial-up but wouldn't be much use as a helper as I wouldn't be fast enough - and my Italian is dreadful...
Hope Notaio can help out - he did a great job last time!

Hi All -
I know that I've missed the first quiz (hope that it went well), this is partly because I haven't a clue how to use the chat room. I can find the room, I have the software, and I may be naive, but I don't know what happens next  .
Possibly there may be others in the dark as well.

Hi John,
If you can open the chatroom, you're halfway there! :) On the bottom left hand corner there's a box where you can type into... and above that is the bit where you can read what all the others have to say...
All the bits & stuff that you can do once you're in the chatroom - I'd wait till you're in there & settled, then play around!
Perhaps you should do a test run with one of us to try to get you sorted? :)
Happy to help...
Cheers,
Steph

I too found it all a bit less than intuitive!! There are various pictures which you click on (they did not appear to me to be instantly recognisable as links) - and the first hurdle is clicking on the sort of cartoon image of two heads (no doubt immediately recognisable as a chat icon to any four year old!!). Took me a while to get over this hurdle - maybe it will solve your problem - because before you click this you can't type in the box.
Good luck

Thanks Steph & Relaxed. I think that on the occasions on which I've gone to the chat room there hasn't been anyone else there.
What I will do is go to the chat room at 1pm GMT and 10pm GMT each day (starting in about one-half hour from now) and see if anyone is there until I get a result, or move to Italy, whichever happens first:) . Feel free (anyone) to join me!
John

Just missed you by seconds earlier ... and then only managed to come back now...
One day... ;)
cheers!
Yes, but how does it all work?
