2948 where to find job listings

hello all -
I am seeking out advice on how to find jobs in Italy. My boyfriend says if he finds a job in Italy, we will move there. How wonderful that would be! So I was wondering if anyone happened to know of any jobs out there for him. He is a 3D computer animator. Is there a great need for a position in this field in Italy? (Venice would be amazing) If no one knows of any particular company, would you happen to know where I could find a good job listing website? Thank you in advance.

Cercasi Lavoro - Employment Questions

Sorry we are not in the job market so unable to answer your question. Sure someone else on the forum will be able to point you in the right direction. Have you done a general internet search for employment agencies? Anyway welcome to the forum , hope you find it benefical!

Thank you for the reply anyway :)
Yes, I have searched general job postings, but I just wanted to make sure that there wasn't a good search engine out there that I was unaware of (specific to jobs in Italy anyway).

Anyone?

Try these..

:) :)

venice is tough - although there is a great telecom italia research centre there getting a job is hard proposition.

Milano, Bologna or Florence might be easier - with Milano as the only real place for happening technology.

Knowing Italian is a must, of course, but you can try tiscali.it - they carry hundreds of listings all over Italy.

The real problem is that until now the majority of job postings in Italy are filled through networks of friends, etc. Not nepotism per se - but a "good word" is still the order of the day.

Best of luck!

wow, thank you both so much for the information. Those sites are wonderful. I just wish my Italian was up to par so I could navigate easily!

Ronald, I wish I had some sort of connection in Italy. I can see how that would make finding a job much less difficult. Oh well.

Thanks again! :)

Ronaldo,

I think the word nepotism very nicely sums up how to get a job in Italy, how many jobs are advertised in the newspapers, very very few in comparison to other countries. How do you get a job, you need to know someone
