2355 San Nicola Arcella

Hi Lee, Ann and EddieB

My name is Teresa, my husband David and I have had an apartment in San Nicola Arcella since October 2004. Our apartment is Residence Perla very close to Bar Norman. As I work in a school we go over every half term, which is probably every eight weeks or so. We usually travel to Naples and hire a car. We love the place and hope to live in San Nicola permanently in the next five years or so. We would recommend the restaurant Red Serpente which is on the road to Scalea, it is open all year and the food is really good and the owner is a lovely person. Like you we have found the local people to be very friendly and helpful.

Gosh, we're getting to be a right little ex-pat colony (I'm an ex-pat already, being Irish but living in London for more than 20 years).
In addition to Terry and Annie (of Andiamo Homes), I know there are a few more people from the UK and Ireland in the area.
Perhaps some time we could organise a counter-attraction to all those Puglia parties I read about on the site!
By the way, have you tried the restaurant at the north end of the prom in Diamante; I think it is called Il Spuntino. The sausages are world famous throughout Calabria, I hear.

Hi,
we have a place in Bridge Villiage and will be over on the 7th April Untill easter Saturday...will anyone be over then to meet up for a glass of vino.

Hi Anna,
Great story, glad everything worked out for you...sorry you won't be there when we are. I'm looking forward to sampling some more of Pinos gorgeous cooking with a glass of vino or two!! Hope to meet up some time, we are over again hopefully the end of May and then end of July. Ciao for now.
