Greetings!

We have just signed our compromesso on an old property not far from Popoli, Abruzzo. We haven't started building works so are still at that excited stage......
Does anyone know about grants for restoration works (resident or nonresident) as we have heard that there may be possibilities. Before we approach the comune it would be good to know if anyone else has applied, has any tips etc.

Welcome to the forum, there are lots of mentions of grants available in the forums, if you use the "search" facility at the top of the page and type in "grants" you will find lots of threads, however, you will be using the services of a Geometra anyway, they will be the best person to ask in relation to your property and the work needed, the other advisable thing is to buy your mayor a coffee or three in the local bar ;)

We have just bought a little house in Civitaretenga (sp?) next door to you. How are you getting on with the restoration? Can you recommend any good architects and builders?
