3150 Car Buying in Italy

Salve e tutti,
I cannot remember whether this has been covered before on the forum & a search failed to find out, but can you buy a car in Italy with just your Codice Fiscale, or do you need to have your Residenzia?

I thought it had been covered before & as stodge replied to the bottom thread, all you need is your permesso di soggiorno & an Italian address.
