Just tried them and they gave me a price of £650 based on a property value of £250,000 and contents of £20,000 I thought that a tad dear.

I got a quotation from Intasure and the price was certainly cheaper. Unfortunately the cover was also reduced - apparently they do not give cover for earthquake or subsidence nor cover for Accidental Damage when we let out the property. These covers were important to me and I could find nobody else who could compete.
I guess that you get what you pay for! :)

We have just insured our place with [U][url]www.andrewcopeland.co.uk[/url] [/U]at what we think is a reasonable price that includes earthquake, subsidience, landslip and heave, plus rental cover and emergency travel etc.
It was one of the few people out there that would cover e,s,l and h.
We tried intersure, though they were cheap, the overall cover was a bit lacking.
Others we tried also without e,s,l and h were at the same cost as andrewcopeland!

Just renewed my house insurance with GAN [through my estate agent]
Insured values [its a small place] - house 70K, contents 7K, plus liablilty insurance
Cost - Euros 84
