Remember having seen somewhere but unfortunately cannot remember where that you can get Agas out here in Italy and at less cost than in UK! So hopefully you will be able to locate something in Italy to do the job. Good Luck with your search.

Thanks everyone,
Am currently waiting for information from Aga France with regard to supply and delivery costs in Italy, its looking promising, Fortishire are based on the coast about 40 miles from florence.
I would also like to chat by pm with anyone who has had an Aga/Rayburn fitted in there property.
Peter.

For what its worth I have a solid fule rayburn in England (no radiators or hot water). It is fantastic for warming the kitchen, and cooking things like roasts (no cooking smells or dirty oven (it burns off)). Downside is forget the food is in the oven and it will slowly incinerate.
Don't know about buying one in Italy, but bought ours not from Aga/Rayburn, but from a supplier in the Midlands and it was substantially cheaper than quoted by Aga (say about 2/3 rds of the price).

Had Aga's, Rayburns and a Stanley Cooker over the years, not anymore though,:( and thought about running costs in Italy may not be a good idea. Had quick google and found British costs for Aga, couldn't find for Stanley, which incidentally I believe have been taken over by Aga!

Dear Jan and Peter. After reading your thread about solid fuel rayburns it left me wondering whether you did manage to get in touch with an italian company. I lived with a multifuel rayburn for many years in northern England which powered 6 old school type cast iron radiators and it was a joy.
I would like find out if it was at all viable to have installed a similar such system in southern italy and am finding it difficult to find any appropriate addresses. yours inquisitively Gerard.
