Hi La Brezza Dave and welcome to the Community. Sorry to hear about your predicament. Are you sure that the kitchen furniture and water heater were included in the contract? I ask you to double check because it is quite usual for these not to be included in houses or apartments. I do not know these people as we are in Tuscany, so I cannot tell you about them. Perhaps other members could. Have you paid the full amount and who has inspected the property before completing the purchase?

Many Thanks for your reply, I can confirm that these were included in the specification and have now been told tat these things have been withdrawn due to lack of finances being available due to the Credit Problems around the world! I have a feeling that people waiting to complete are going to be in the same predicament as I have found myself! Unfortunately I trusted 'Italian Connection' to undertake the pre-purchase checks and also gave POA to my solicitors (no ames mentioned but I bet you can guess who!!).

Hi DaveYou may or may not be familiar with www.incalabria.com. The forum is worth joining as it was set up for people buying in Calabria and it has lots of advice and information for buyers and many members with personal experience. I would assume there are others in a similar position as you.

i think you will find this thread on here is pretty closely related to your problems... seems to be quite a gang of the same people always involved... there are various protest groups being set up everywhere and a site called eyeonworldwide ... seems to be pretty independant of all building/estate agents down there ...also there is a firm of solictors involved in some class action type work... not sure if this will fall in with their requirements... anyway thats the linkhttp://www.italymag.co.uk/community/post/does-anybody-know-whats-going-giambronelaw
