3261 Tax, Domicilio and Residenza - moving from UK to Italy

I'm moving to Italy in a couple of weeks and I've been advised to get an accountant with good knowledge of Italian and UK tax law to advise me on personal finance. It sounds tremendously complicated :confused: and I'd happily pay for someone to sort the bureaucrazia for me.

Can anyone recommend a good accountant or suggest alternatives?

I'm planning to stay in Italy a couple of years and have modest savings, no property. I expect to work there, perhaps as a freelancer for British companies.

I'm sorry that nobody has answered your question yet. Maybe it would help if you let people know which area you're planning to move to to, then someone local might be able to suggest a good accountant.

We haven't quite decided yet where to go, but are looking at around the Alpe Apuane, between Bologna and Genova. We'll be staying near Reggio Emilia for our first month (May).
