2204 Hello, Happy Holidays, Buon Natale

We were recently exposed to "A Place in the Sun" etc. on Sky TV and became addicted, infected, inspired, and seduced. Drove down to Tuscany, visited a real estate office......
and the transaction closes in a couple of weeks. We ended up with a 700 year old place needing renovation, of course, in the area NE of Aulla.
Will be asking for recommendations/referrals for architects, builders, plumbers, electicians roofers,etc. from this general area; Licciana Nardi, Fivizzano, Villafranca, Aulla, etc. Also DIY stores in the region. In other words............any info available on the process of permitting, remodeling/renovation, experiences, etc. from some who have survived.

hello, i moved to live near Fivizzano 2 years ago and have had my house for 4 years, i run a small networking group based in that area, not only for residents but also for people who just have holiday/weekend homes. we meet for lunch each month and share experiences of the italian way of life plus new suppliers/sources of building equipment, labour, materials etc. let me know if you would be interested in lunching with us on one of your visits charlotte

There's a large number of us (all williing to give advice & recommendations) who are around the area; if you use the search facility (Green bar on the right) and search for Lunigiana, you'll find a lot of regular contributors who are in & around Fivizzano.

Would any of you Lunis out there perhaps know; (in the general area around Aulla-Sarzana-Pontremoli)
1. Location for UPS, DHL, or FEDEX services and is one better than the others?
2. Where one might find lactose-free milk products or frozen yogurt
3. Have difficulty finding regular tomato juice; are we looking in the wrong section of the stores???
