3258 Cercasi in Roma: Recommendations about finding a good Italian tutor

Hi all,

Has anyone had good one-to-one Italian lessons in Rome? I am looking for recommendations/references for someone experienced or a student who is studying languages at University.

I would like to improve conversational ability, written work and also want to use newspapers as example reading material. My Italian is basic but ok for basic conversations - I have more enthusiasm than ability at the moment!

Grazie tanto,
R.

Does it have to be in Roma? We can recommend an excellent Italian language school in Viterbo who tailor lessons to the individuals requirements. Let us know by PM if you would like more details. Sorry we do not know anywhere to recommend in Roma itself.

yes I did a language course in Rome for week last December in Rome, I started in a group class but changed to individual lesson in a morning went back in an afternoon and watch Italian Dvds - very good and really enjoyed it - I did total inmersion and lived with an Italian lady. The school is Est Ovest on Via Nazionale tel 0648930255 www.estovestroma.it

This is where I took my Italian lessons, they are very flexible, but I get the feeling you don't want to go with a school? I you are looking to do it without, I would suggest an Ad pinned at you local university/school. I also had a friend in Monterotondo that used to do it, but I don't if they still do it, or if they would come into Rome. email me and I'll check if you are interested.

Thanks guys... Hope you all had a great Easter.
I have looked a number of schools but really would prefer private classes. Someone based in Rome would be best as it would be the most flexible for me as I live here.

Thanks again for the feedback!
