I am a member of Andreabocelli.com,and i posted songs for Andrea,on the forum,but have not received a response. I realise MR:Bocelli,is a very busy man,& probably don't have time to answer everyone's email,but maby one day he will....I'm also on the Bocellionline.com forum,& i visit Bocelli.de forum alot.

Welcome to the forum Claire and good luck with your dream to write the lyrics for a song for Andrea Bocelli. Maybe you should try finding someone to put your lyrics to music and then try sending him a tape?

Mr:Maestro,Andrea Bocelli,is very hard to get in contact with,& i think almost impossable. I don't know how to contact him. I have a lot of songs if i could only send them to Bocelli,& if he would really get them,& i would faint if i received an answer.:) Maby some Day.

Whenever you wish to contact a singer, it's best to do so via the record company. Opera singers don't usually have the staff to deal with personal enquiries, as they receive so many. The record companies, however do & should respond quickly, possibly with publicity material. As it's they who often select the music, I suggest you also send your lyrics to them.

Lavender Field,i want to thank you for your advice,& it is worth a try Isn't it?
I'm not looking for Royalties,& i would just like for Andrea,Bocelli to put music to my Lyrics. I read some where that Andrea,Bocelli was looking for new songs,& thats what inspired me to write Lyrics for him. I wish i did know how to write music,& compose the Melody,but i don't.

His company,and/or company's are Mt Opera and Blues,and/or Sugar Music,is that right? I wonder if my Lyrics could be sent to them through email? If this is so,it would be nice,because it cost alot to send anything to Italy from the USA.

Make sure you post a securely closed envelope or package containing an exact copy of your lyrics, to yourself through the regular postal service, preferably by some type of recorded or registered delivery.. [B]before[/B] you send anything via email.. or by any other method to anyone else.

Do not open your self mailed copy.. make sure it is [B]clearly date stamped [/B]by the postal service and keep it in a safe place.

I doubt anyone here knows Andrea personally.. but I don't see why you couldn't start a new thread in the appropriate section to post your lyrics there if you want to.

We could all have a look then.. but don't forget..there is so much more to Italy than just Mr Bocelli.. broaden your horizons a little more.. perhaps try some different Italian singers and/or songwriters to start with..

I have been listening to Andrea for years and he is one of my favorite Tenors. I have always wanted to see him in concert and will get my chance. He will be in Naples on the 31st of May, and I bought tickets 2 months ago. Can't wait!:D

The concert will be in the Famous San Carlo Opera house, I have been there to see Tosca and the acoustics are great.
Sadly , though, he won't be the only one there, so we won't get to see a full performance. Anything will be worth it!

Claire, I'm an Old New Jersey boy, used to live in New Brunswick till I was 13, then moved to Pa.My sisters still live in the area though.I was in Atlantic city a few years back on the 4th of July , it was packed.Played a few slots too!

I'm a little late in repling to you,but i haven't been on my computer much lately.That is some coincidence Dan,because we used to live in North Brunswick NJ. back in 1978.We used to go to Atlantic City too.We moved to Maryland from NJ.
Oh,yes! I know Andrea,will be on American Idol next Tues,& Wednesday.It is going to be very interesting.I can't wait to see what songs he will teach the ones that are left.

Claire, I left New Brunswick, probably before you were born, 1962!I also used to live in North Brunswick. over on Nasau street.
It will be interesting to see what kind of songs he chooses for them. I don't know any of them that could do a good tenor.
I get Idol on American Forces Network , so we get it a day after the states.I have to wait till till Wed/Thurs.

Bocelli liked the voice of katherine Mcphee.She has a beautiful voice and can hit high notes. Even Andrea,himself said he likes the way she sings and that she is very good. None of the contestants sang any of Bocelli's songs,which i thought that they would and didn't.
We watch the conclusion tonight at 9:pm Eastern time.Bocelli will sing tonight and David Foster will accompany with Piano for the song that Andrea,wrote. "Because we believe."
Every singer i thought was very good.

Claire, I missed the first few minutes and missed her. Caught all the others though.Katherine is very good. My favorite is Hicks! The blonde, her name escapes me, is okay, but she blew it and I think she will be the next to go, but you can never tell with the voting.

Yes,Dan. Katherine is very,very good. I really like Hicks too. He is great.
The Blond's name that they let go Home,is Kelly Pickler.She just didn't have it.
Bocelli was magnificent as always. Everyone loved him. You will enjoy the other half where he sings "Because we Believe"Just beautiful.
