3408 'Chav' Wildlife - Spain

I kid you not ... there's a song bird appeared in the garden this Spring that whistles the first bar of 'Viva Espagna', constantly  It's driving me crackers. And however hard I try to ignore it, it's impossible not to join in with the next line

I suppose I could always resort to the 'Italian' option i.e. both barrels at dawn, and serve him up with a dish of polenta ... or maybe I should be merciful and just nominate the little bxxxxxr for 'Eurovision 2006'? :D

What do you think? Any talented wildlife in your area?

I bet he is a starling - we used to have one which we called "the telephone bird" since it could mimic the sound of the house phone perfectly!!

There is a Mynah bird in an Italian restaurant (at the door) who greets you with "Buongiorno", and when you leave he asks "Hai pagato"? :)

Funny enough, I just went out to take the 'spazzatura' to the bins and sitting on a telephone wire is a medium sized green parrot ... or should that be a cockatoo. Not sure that I know the difference :)

We have a blackbird that lives in a tree in our garden that sings the laurel and hardy theme tune having nicked it from the local ice cream van - drives me insane bless him. He also copies the police cars that whizz up the Snake Pass - after de de de de de, de de de de, diddle de de etc he goes wooo wooo wooo!
