3417 pay as you go mobile

Ciao

I am still living in the UK but ahead of my move next year have obtained a "TIM" pay as you go SIM card.

How do I add funds to it? Is it possible from the UK?

TIM has a recarica on line service [URL="http://www.iltelefoninonline.tim.it/n/0,,193,00.html"]here[/URL].

You have to be logged on in order to recarica which means you have to first register [URL="http://www.iltelefoninonline.tim.it/n/0,,102,00.html"]here[/URL]. It's the usual tedious routine, but it looks to be fairly straightforward.

I don't use TIM, so can't help with questions like how you deal with the address information demanded on that registration form. If I was filling in that form, I'd first try putting in my real UK address. If that didn't work, I'd use my imagination (and possibly the [URL="http://pb.virgilio.it/execute.cgi?tl=2&cb=9"]online phonebook[/URL] if there were problems with getting the system to accept a completely made-up address).

.....but it's not that you need to keep a minimum credit on the card; your account won't get cancelled if there's little credit, so if you have enough in the account when you leave, there's no reason why you just can't top it up when you're over there.

.....it also helps the 'little man' out there as it's a little earner for corner shops etc...
