3427 IKEA in Ancona

I heard, i think on this Forum, that a new IKEA is opening in Ancona. Any news? I am over in Abruzzo next week. Normally, I fly to Rome and go to IKEA there, but this time am flying into Pescara.

All I need is a kitchen cupboard/door (my wife took the wrong measurements last time - so I have a wall unit that is 10cm too big) and I cannot be bothered to drive to Rome, thought Ancona would be much easier.

I guess that will teach me to buy locally! but as they say, you live and learn

Don't think its opening till june/july unfortunately now. Perhaps they are having problems assembling the units ;-)?

According to IKEA website it is due to open in July.......no definite date as yet!:(

May I suggest that you buy the door in the UK and take it with you!
