Hi to you guys, have you tried in the search at top, notaio fees? or if you go to members list, look for notaio and if you clickhis name it will take you to all his posts and threads that he has started, if you cant get what you need from that ,I suggest you send notaio a pm, dont know if he is away at moment, as he is normally around to answer most queries, good luck Francesca:)

If you visit www.notaicomolecco.it click on per il cittadino and then again on tariffe notarile and you will a series of on-line calculators. These should give you a guideline cost. Try using Atti Negoziali Immobiliari Ordinari. This will give you the approx fee, excluding IVA and all the relevant imposte etc.

What a great link - thanks!
The figures there were encouraging - about half of what I'd guestimated. I'm pretty confident that somehow, in that age old Italian way, my guestimate will end up being closer to the truth ;)
To cap it all, a "friend of a friend" knows a notaio... so we'll see how much that ends up costing, despite the promise of "doing me a good deal". How can that be if the fees are fixed?
Still, all good fun - I'm certainyl enjoying the uncertainty of it all!
Thanks again,
IIOH

Hi
just wanted to add that the link that Charles gave to you is about notai in Como.
If you're buying in another part of Italy, there might be different fees, probably lower, because the lombard notaries are generally expensive.
If you want, PM me and I'll be more precise.
Notaio even, always seem to type that one worngly.
