when all is said and done I must admit to actually liking Aliena. However her behaviour on the forum has been very divisive. Does anyone here think she would be able to reign herself in and behave if allowed back?

I think she might...she'd know she'd be 'on probation' for a good while. Given her post in response to Lavender (Medici) on the Expats thread provided by Cristina makes her outburst more understandable (though she could've done without the name-calling & swearing). If she'd posted something along the same lines here, a lot of hassle could've been avoided.
We know that Jig & Paula can be quite 'clever' in their posts ... and the same rules apply to all.
She's got a temper but she'd have to reign it in bigtime! What about a ban for a full month or 2? We couldn't be seen giving in too easily...
George would have to agree too, though, as she's often enough referred to him - and she'd have to stop that!

If you allow her back onto the forum we might as well all walk away from the thing, I know I will, not a threat, just me being practical, you cannot give in to her and retain any sense of being mildly in control, hell, Ronald, you bent over backwards, sideways, swayed from side to side and she crapped on you, you cannot control her, she will return as a hero, leave her as a martyr, she is being supported by relatively few people, if they don't like it they can do the other thing.
Frankly I am amazed that you are even considering allowing her back, think what she has done, the promises she didn't keep, the filth she spouted....

The fact is that I don't really get insulted by someone like Aliena - it is such a small thing at the end of the day. However, I think that letting her back in may be a mistake as I would have to immediately ban her because she now has multiple personalities roaming the forum
No - I think this time I am not even going to reply. Anyway there is Zia and Anastasia stirring trouble and if she doesn't come clean on that it means her intentions are always the wrong ones.

I think these new logins are a bunch of people, not just Aliena in disguise. I'm surprised she'd allow them to endanger any goodwill there might have been towards her. Silly...
Agree with your comments on her intentions. Perhaps you should send a pm to Zia & Anastasia noting that they don't do anything at all to help Aliena's case - but rather turn opinion against her! And then wait & see how they behave afterwards... that would show any intentions!
