3693 Accomodations in or around Milano

Okay, let me try this post again.
My in-laws will be coming in October and they want to see Milano. Does anyone have any suggestions on a B&B or hotel around there? Much appreciated!

Hi Daniel,

Sorry that nobody got back to you first time round. I don't think many people have stayed in Milan itself.

I did about 3 years ago but it was a small, 2* B&B and while they were friendly, I wouldn't take my mum there! ;) I found it while browsing on the net.

Have a look here (I picked 4*): http://www.enit.it/alberghiris.asp?Lang=UK&ID=559&Servizi=&PrezzoMin=&PrezzoMax=&Nome=&Tipologia=4&Luogo=MILANO

Or here: http://www.en.hotel-milano.it/

It might be an idea for them not to stay in Milano direct, but perhaps in Como or Bergamo - easily reached by train and more picturesque!

I've got a recommendation for a B&B in Bergamo if that's not too far out...

You can also look at www.tripadvisor.com, www.virtualtourist.com and www.expedia.com where you can read recommendations! We found places through the latter 2 and have been very happy.

Good luck!

Daniel, we staryed in the Hotel Enterprise , about a mile from the Duomo. Rooms were good and bar busy (we stayed when the design fair was about to start) Lots of antique style furniture and staff helpful. Lots of hotels listed on Accommodation Milan website

Hope you find something you like.

An excellent site for milan B&B is www.friendly-home.org
I have used them many times and it's far more interesting than staying in a hotel. You will experience the real milano.
Hope it helps
Gary

Thanks everyone, I'm sure I'll find something with the info you all provided. I'll let you know what I find and how it is.
