3714 New Restaurant

When we were out in Comano last month we noticed a new restaurant in Monti called VENELIA. Has anybody been there anf if so what is it like?:)

....where in Monti? Is it the one one the road to Aulla, on the left? Next to the 'white goods' store?

(not that we need to discover a new restaurant!)

We're out in June so i'll do a review if you like (all in the name of journalism, of course :D)

Coming from Comano into Monti. When you arrive at the crossroads go straight through and it is about half a mile down on the left hand side. It is called Venelia.
We are out in June as well. The first 5 days and then back on 28th June for a week.
Maybe we could meet up? If we go to the restaurant first I will let you know.

We saw this one too the last time we were there but didn't get a chance to try it out (too busy visiting all the other restaurants we love :p). Please do a review if you go. I'll be interested to hear what it's like.

By the way we finally managed to try the restaurant in Prota last month. Great antipasti, as you would expect and the rest of the meal was very good too, plus there's a view of mountains from the terrace windows that's quite pleasant. We had to do a good deal of searching until we found it though. The only sign that there is a restaurant/bar there is the white and red telephone sign hanging on the side of the building.

BTW Galletti was absolutely TEAMING the night we went and they had taken on an english speaking waitress (GASP!).

Does anyone have an update on this?

I'd heard from one source that the place, Venelia served wonderful food (and lots of it!) but would be interested in any other feedback.

We drove past it on a number of occasions & noticed it was busy but never got a chance to visit :(
