3736 Codice Fiscale

When applying for your codice fiscale once in Italy, is it possible to call at the nearest tax office or so you have to call at the one in the province you live in.

Also is it too late to apply for one now while still in the Uk. We've got about 10 weeks before the big move?:eek:

To obtain your own CF you need your passport or a valid "Permesso di soggiorno".

You can obtain it at any "Ufficio delle entrate" of any capital of province.

You can also apply for it abroad at the nearest Italian consulate.

There is no obligation to apply for it in the province of residence.

You've plenty of time. Go to your nearest consulate or embassy with your passport and they'll issue one immediately on paper. You don't necessarily need the laminated codice fiscale card but it will be sent to you anyway. Should arrive within 3-4 weeks.
