3795 oh sole mio

Just back from Italy on 'the villa' viewing and sorting out trip(see previous thread) - but more on that later. Arrived and the sun was shining, 27 degrees C, the flowers in bloom, the vineyards and olive trees dominating the puglian landscape. Lets go pick cherries says my sister in law,do you fancy mozerella from the local caseficio? Went to the market in Martina Franca my you can get some great bargains......Now back its raining and windy but the local newagents there, coronation street, eastenders, football frenzy - you know I tried to get an italian flag for the car or my desk and it was impossible? Fish and chips - I know I shouldn't but hey. I love both worlds...................... :D

You're back and sound happy! Hope 'villa' is going in right direction and very envious to here how Martina Franca is at the mo, yes great market too! Still not long and we will be there ourselves again! :D

Have we changed the Grand Tour to Puglia now?
Great we can talk about some great wines.
;)

Two posts, gand tour? Not yet me thinks but there was loads and loads about Puglia in the past! Not sure there was much about wine though! ;)

Yes lets have some more Puglian wine - the problem we had was that the best wines we had were in unmarked bottles or carafes in the various local restaurants we visited! And not forgetting the burger van where we had an amazing burger each and a half little bottle of home made red wine chilled which was amazing!!

Dave ,yes Puglia does have some fantastic wines but more of them on the Puglia Grand Tour. For now settle down and enjoy a glass of rosso conero, verdicchio and all things Marche!!!
