3819 midges in Italy

I have tried all the usual precautions but still get bitten - creams, taking vitamin B, wear trousers in an evening, spray rooms , burn coils when outside. Now I do expect some bites when I visit my Italian holiday home as its in the country and in a farming area but got loads while working in Pisa. Has anyone got any tips.

'Skin So Soft' by Avon.. available as a body oil (highly effective) or a solid stick which is not so effective, but can be used as a top up throughout the evening if you are out.

I am plagued by zanzara.. everywhere I go and it's the only thing I have ever found that works - 100% guarantee of 0 bites.. if I remember to use it!

:) :)

Vino rosso.....liberal application of it & I never give a t*ss about midges, flies or any overly friendly feral cats!

(oh, the feral cats may only be a problem local to our village of course!)

do you mean red wine which I spill - thanks for advice - well now I am back in the cold uk my boday is covered so nobody can see the bad marks just worried as I have to get rid of them before I go to Cambodia in two weeks as I am working on an aids project- no cuts to the skin.
