in the uk,architects/builders use these glass'phials'inserted into suspect walls to test whether they are moving or not-I believe they are called 'tell-tales'or something like that,Does anybody out there know of the Italian equivalent and its Italian name so I can ask my geometra!?

Is a very interesting short discussion on building movement, worth reading.
I'm afraid I can't find a word for tell-tale in Italian, and the only ones I have seen in italy are the proverbial strips of glass stuck on with cement or resin!
