3842 World Cup on Italian TV

Does anyone know if the World Cup games are to be broadcast on Italian terrestrial TV?

Someone suggested only the games where Italy are playing will be on TV; is this true?

Perhaps we should get Sky just in case!

Yes, for the first time if you wanna see all the Football matches you have to pay SKY.
The RAI will broadcast only from quarter final on
if you have a dual feed satellite you can see matches on german channels
Forza Italia! or, much much better, Viva L' Italia !

I am really surprised by this (and miffed as we don't have Sky). Doesn't Italian public service TV have automatic rights to televise national sports events as the BBC does in the UK? Or did Berlusconi broker this deal?
