AC Milan confirmed Friday its coach Carlo Ancelotti has turned down a lucrative offer from Chelsea.
Ancelotti has been linked to Chelsea since they sacked Avram Grant after he lost the Champions League to Manchester United.
The cash-rich London club was reportedly ready to raise Ancelotti's salary by a couple of million euros.
''It's true, Chelsea were after Ancelotti, and how,'' Milan CEO Adriano Galliani said.
''I was aware of it,'' he added.
