Italian showgirl Elisabetta Canalis debuted her cha-cha skills on Dancing with the Stars this week but came in second to last in the judges’ first evaluation.
Clooney's Italian ex performed a fast paced number set to Katy Perry’s Last Friday Night with partner Val Chmerkovskiy, but the pair was only awarded 15/30 from the judges. That score landed the duo in the bottom two, coming in just one point ahead of basketball player Ron Attest who was given 14/30.
A cool reception by the judges meant that Elisabetta was in danger of elimination after the first week of competition. Worried about an equally icy reaction from American audiences, Elisabetta appealed to her Italian fan base to help her stay in the competition.
The former showgirl called in to appear on a popular weekly gossip show Verissimo and asked the Italian audience to vote for her online to help her stay on the popular US television programme.
Perhaps the Italian votes came through because Elisabetta avoided elimination and Ron Attest was sent home instead last night.
