On the 10th of May, Italian singer Emma Marrone will compete in the European Broadcasting Union’s 2014 Eurovision Contest in Copenhagen, Denmark, becoming the fourth Italian singer featured in the competition after Italy’s more than 10 year hiatus.
The three previous contestants, were selected after their participation to Sanremo Music Festival and were in the final Top Ten: Raphael Gualazzi's came second with Madness Of Love, Nina Zilli came 9th in Baku with L'Amore E Femmina and Marco Mengoni was 7th last year with L'Essenziale.
Emma rose to fame in 2010, after winning the ninth edition of Italian talent show Amici di Maria De Filippi and in 2012 won the 62nd annual Sanremo Music Festival with the song "Non è l'inferno".
She will be performing her 80s rock style song La Mia Città (My City), which was included as a new track to the new edition of her Schiena album last November, entitle Schiena vs Schiena.
