AC Milan has not received any bids for Italy playmaker Andrea Pirlo, club CEO Adriano Galliani said Thursday.
''There has been no offer for Pirlo,'' he said, quashing reports that Chelsea was trying to bring the 2006 World Cup hero to Stamford Bridge to join his former coach Carlo Ancelotti.
At the weekend, at the Confederations Cup in South Africa, Pirlo reacted to the reports by saying ''You have to get used to things,'' referring to Milan's newfound willingness to sell players if the price was right.
Earlier this month Milan sold Kaka to Real Madrid for a then world record 67.2 million euros, soon superseded by the 93 million Real gave Manchester United for Cristiano Ronaldo.
Galliani added that Milan had received a ''monstrous'' offer for Kaka's 19-year-old Brazil teammate Pato from an unidentified club.
''But there's no doubt, he's staying with us. I don't think there's any player in the world under the age of 20 who's better than him,'' the CEO said.
He said Milan would base its future campaigns around the Brazil striker, noting that ''he still has three years on his contract, until June 30, 2012''.
