A sagra not to miss, especially if you like hand-made pasta and would like to see the experts at work!
The 29th edition of the Sagra delle Sfogline begins on August 28 in Massa Lombarda in the province of Ravenna.
Emilia-Romagna is the land of the “sfogline”, known in the local dialect as “zdoure”: women who patiently knead and roll the dough strictly by hand to create delicious pasta like tagliatelle and tortellini.
The tradition of the sfoglina is getting lost, so here’s a festival that gives back value to an ancient craft that modern-day generations no longer have time or interest to learn.
Sfogline will challenge one another, each armed with a rolling pin, for the preparation of delicious tagliatelle, which will then be served at the numerous stands.
The Sagra delle Sfogline continues until September 3.
