The provincial roadway that connects Marsciano to Perugia and Lake Trasimeno passes through Umbria's famous pure green hills, vineyards, valleys, and woodlands. In this corner of Umbria, a region known for its fortified hilltop villages and castles, is the small hamlet of Spina. After a 2009 earthquake caused substantial damage in the centro storico this small hamlet is finally nearing the end of a long reconstruction effort and is ready to welcome visitors.
