We are deep into Carnival time, with the Venice and Viareggio carnivals, to name just two of the most famous, in full swing.
In celebration of Carnival, our Word of the Week is maschera – mask.
Walking in Venice these days, you can see many maschere – (plural) masks.
Just last week, we told you about three traditional Italian masks: Arlecchino, Pulcinella and Gianduja.
