Can anyone tell me the implications of renting our current family home in the UK when we become resident in Italy? Initially it is likely just myself and not my partner will take up residence in Italy. At present the UK house is in my name on the deeds with my partner owning 50% by deed of trust and we put the Italian property into my sole name as we knew I would be the first to gain residence and within 18 months. I need to find out about the taxes on rental income but also what would happen in terms of capital gains tax if we sold the UK property at some point in the future.

Delivery all over Italy

I need to arrange a delivery of my furniture out to Southern Tuscany ideally towards the end of June. The house is up a long dusty track and so I have one smaller van booked for July. However if anyone were planning a move back to UK in June I would be interested in the van going the other way. Ideally a Luton van or similar - not an Ocean liner! thanks!

We have a beautifully restored, fully furnished Italian farmhouse for sale. The house is located near the village of Pietralunga in the beautiful region of Umbria. The house is app. 150 sq meters on three levels. The main level has a living/dining room and kitchen. There are a wood-burning stove, a fireplace and wall mounted liquid gas heaters in both rooms. The kitchen has a refrigerator, wall cabinet, sink, waterheater, two storage cabinets, table and chairs. The living room has a sleeper sofa, chairs, tv, telephone with wi-fi DSL computer, table and chairs and bookcase.

With the elderflowers in full bloom, I have been out picking this morning and have my first batch of cordial "brewing"....it is so refreshing on hot summer days, so thought others might like to try...

If you were planning to check in online over this weekend (18-20 May) be aware that the Ryanair site will be offline for maintainance! Could be expensive as they expect you to work around them and will still charge for airport check in fi you have not done so online
