Hello! I would like to tap into
Hello! I would like to tap into the combined experience of my fellow readers. During the process of our refurbishment a new gas (the house had not had town gas previously) connection was made. However, there is no meter and as I am sure you know the company needs to return to link the mains gas supply to the house via the meter. I have been going around in circles now for nearly two years to gain this final stage to our gas connection. It has been a cycle of signing up with the gas retailer, sending off requested technical information to the wholesaler (mains company) and then being rejected with a requests of further informaiton. Neither my plumber nor geometra have been willing to take on the task thus I have been responsible for the interface between the various agencies and profesisonals. Can anyone advice me on who would normally have this responsibility? The geometra or the plumber? I ask as I want to now put pressure on whoever should be taking the responsibility but not sure who this should be. Thank you!
