Hi Pete,I went through a Geometra who can also oversee your project if you want. I found him quick and usually they work within the councilCiao

Whoever you use, make sure they are local to the area, so they know how the Comune works.  Using an 'outsider' is a recipe for disaster I'd recommend using a Geometra

Thank you all for your thoughts/advice.  I really appreciate it.  Sorry for the delayed reply!  We are hoping to secure the property this month, so lots of work to planning to do.  We are in no rush, but want to explore the best option for us/this property.  We do need some structural help to start with, hoping to break it down into a few projects and will also roll my sleeves up myself!!Thanks again.
