As many people in Italy have not paid for their TV Licence. The Government decided to add it to the ENEL Bills. Think it was 80 Euros in July and then an extra fee later in the year. It should state this on the ENEL bill (mine did). Think some of the following year will be in installments
If you have paid the TV Licence separately there is a form to opt out which you need to complete with proof. Some info below (in English) from ENEL

OPTION1 - UK Bank AccountWhen we originally bought our property we got ENEL to send the bills to us via Email (need to register on ENEL website) we then took the bill to our UK bank and paid the bill via money transfer. This was not acceptable to us as there was a £20 transaction fee each timeOPTION 2 - By Italian Credit Card (or UK Credit Card)Again register on ENEL website. and request a form to complete for paymnent by Credit card. It is posted to your address and then complete form with card details and return in post. - We used our UK Credit Card - This was successful for 1 year until the credit card expired and was replaced with new one with different expiry dates and security number and we were back to Option 1OPTION 3 - Pay by Italian Bank AccountWhen credit card exiped ENEL wrote to us with a Form to complete to Pay by Direct Debit from your bank account. We completed this and sent it back with details of our italian bank account (IBAN No etc) and also include a letter (in italian) explaining we wanted to pay with our italian bank account giving all details address etc. This was set up and now we pay by Direct Debit automatically - BLISS!!If having problems - write ENEL a Letter (in italian) and explain what you want to do and how u want to pay .....it was much easier than trying to call or visit. You could probably pay with UK bank account if you write with the details and IBAN numberHope this helps
I thought the IMU tax had been suspended this year. It is due to be replaced with a new Tax (Tari / Tasi) which was announced in August 2013There was no need to pay the IMU tax for 2013 as it was suspended awaiting the government decision ...hope I am right!
